Description
Angkor Wat (Angkor Wat), also known as Angkor Temple, is located in Cambodia and is known as the national treasure of Cambodia. It is the largest temple-like building in the world and the earliest Khmer-style building in the world. The original name of Angkor Wat is Vrah Vishnulok, which means "Vishnu's Temple", and it is called "Sangxiang Buddha House" in ancient Chinese Buddhist books. Suryavarman II (reigned from 1113 to 1150) was built to enshrine Vishnu, and it was completed in more than 30 years. Angkor Wat is the most quintessential part of Angkor's monuments, and it is also a representative of early Cambodian architectural styles.
In 1992, UNESCO listed the Angkor monuments as a world cultural heritage. Since then, Angkor Wat has become the top priority of Angkor's monuments and has become a beautiful tourist business card in Cambodia.
