中国首部实景园林昆曲《牡丹亭》由著名音乐家谭盾和“昆曲王子”张军共同担纲制作人，并联合著名舞蹈家黄豆豆等国内各领域顶尖艺术家倾心跨界主创，上海张军昆曲艺术中心出品。实景园林昆曲《牡丹亭》以实景、实情呈现明代大文豪汤显祖的巨作《牡丹亭》，还原中国古代“客至乐具，豪门清韵”的待客之本。主创团队抛开现代的镜框式舞台，摒弃繁复的剧场式呈现，将牡丹之亭还于园林，也还给了汤显祖一个最真实、最纯粹的牡丹之梦。实景园林昆曲《牡丹亭》自2010年上海世博会期间在上海朱家角”课植园”推出后，已上演七个演季共200余场。

The 75-minute performance of the Peony Pavilion is co-produced by Mr. Zhang Jun, UNESCO Artist for Peace and top Chinese Kunqu performer, together with Mr. Tan Dun, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and Oscar-winning composer. Situated in a real garden in Zhujiajiao, the water town in the suburb of Shanghai, this garden version of the Peony Pavilion not only preserves the essence and sublime beauty of the traditional Kunqu opera theatre, but also offers performers more freedom to explore, giving the audience a unique sensational experience.
