All spring, we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of the New York Philharmonic Very Young Composers Program by asking composers what advice they'd give to their younger selves — and to very young composers all over the world! Žibuoklė Martinaitytė wants you to think BIG and not limit your imaginations, whether the music you hear in your head might require one orchestra, two orchestras — even ten orchestras! 🤯

The Philharmonic gives the US premiere of Martinaitytė’s “Saudade,” Feb. 17–19.
