Are we natural swimmers? Why do babies (if given the opportunity) learn swimming much quicker than when we start late?
I have heard of many parents starting swimming lessons early for their infants, but such classes are expensive, and of course, we need to monitor for safety. As long as the pool is hygienic and the baby has swimming trunks over the nappy, there is no reason to restrict this activity if you have the option. And do moisturize the skin well after the swim (and use sunscreen if swimming in open pool during the day).
