While digging through the archives for his debut solo album project on Apollo Records, Andy Cato rediscovered this DJ mix on an old c60 cassette. Recorded live from a free party on the South Downs "sometime in the early 1990s", the set is a spotters treasure trove of classic house cuts and captures the musical spirit of pre-Criminal Justice Act Britain. First introduced to the free party scene by his cousin, Digs (of British sound system legends, DIY), Cato spent much of this period circumnavigating the UK in an old Hillman Imp, travelling between the North's illegal party hotspots through to Castlemorton and beyond.
