The story is well-known, but let's go over it again, shall we?

In November 25, 1992, when Aladdin was first released, "Arabian Nights" contained the lines "Where they cut off your ears if they don't like your face / It's barbaric, but hey, it's home." In July 1993, after complaints and protests by the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, Tim Rice rewrote the line and it was dubbed as "Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense / It's barbaric, but hey, it's home". (I've been unable to figure out if Bruce Adler, the original singer, recorded the revised lyrics.) On the very first home video release, and on every release to this day, the revised version is the version used. Released on October 31, 1992, the original pressings of the soundtrack contained the original recording, before being replaced by the revised recording.

Here is the original version of the song, with the "ears" line, synced with the final film sequence.

Also, I know I messed up and said "Where they'll cut off your ear" in the intro. It's a minor sin at most.
