Another personal favorite from the fantastic Barry White. “It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me” was written by Ekundayo Paris and Nelson Pigford, and arranged by Barry White. The song spent five weeks at #1 on Billboard’s R&B Singles Chart and #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. Because Barry White was walking around with his mic, with 1970‘s sound technology, as soon as he stepped off the stage, the audio went south. It would come and go depending on where Barry White was walking. The audio track has been evened out to compensate for the highs and lows in the original audio, a ton of bass has been added, and a decent amount of treble. It’s better, but not perfect. I think that's Mike Douglas handing him the microphone.
