One of the best concerts I ever attended was John Fogerty's show in Portland, Oregon, December of 2004. In some ways, it was like a full-scale military onslaught, but instead of bullets, he mowed us down with perfect classic rock songs, one after the other, seemingly without mercy. We never stood a chance, but what a way to go!

I ended up catching the guitar pick he threw during the encore, too, which was cool because it was best possible end I could've imagined, having wanted to see him live for years and years. This is one of my favorite songs from his "Blue Moon Swamp" album, which is about as pitch-perfect an album as one can make.

There's a couple more songs on it that I'd like to get around to one day, if the fates are willing. Until then, keep on Chooglin'.
