"Rip-roaring R&B/city blues. Song was covered later by the Johnny Burnette Trio, but this is the original version! Recorded 25 July 1951 in Cincinnati. Red Prysock played tenor sax on this session. Note co-writer "Lois Mann" was King label boss Syd Nathan getting in on the publishing action (Lois Music was him too) and to this day his estate is benefiting from returns on the cult Burnette recording (and also from all the cover versions of the cover version)." ---- mickey rat
