Description
Cannibal & The Headhunters were a band from East Los Angeles, California, formed by four Chicano boys who achieved incredible success with their version of "Land Of A Thousand Dances", subsequent to that of Thee Midniters but more successful in sales.
The group released some singles and an album for the obscure Rampart label, later Columbia's Date subsidiary acquired rights to the group's recording contract, releasing another version of "Land of the Thousand Dances" this track was included in the re-release of the album and as a A-side of the second release of their hit.
