From Steve Perry - “I think I first got the idea for Kings Of Swing when we played a show, some years ago, at Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, NY. BCT is a gorgeous, art deco era, dilapidated, abandoned train station in which the promoters had decided to put on a rip roaring Cherry Poppin’ Daddies show. The broken windows and faded beauty seemed to revivify ghosts of a golden age and breathed an uncanny, strong armed, can-do, greatest generation spirit; one last time, into this once grand edifice, now in ruins. It lasted only a second or two as the music climaxed and Lindy Hoppers flew through the air, but we all felt that something reached at us, desperately, from back in the past.”
