Description
From the people who brought you Rocky and Bullwinkle comes 'George of the Jungle' (watch out for that tree!). It was a satire of the Tarzan genre of jungle stories, and familiar voices from the earlier series (June Foray, Paul Frees, et al) did the honors for 'George' as well. Only 17 episodes were produced but they were shown over and over; decades later a live action theatrical film revived the character, as did a 2007 animated series. The theme song is by Stan Worth and Sheldon Allman. 'Weird Al' Yankovic recorded his rendition in 1985; it was used in the Brendan Fraser movie.
