David William "Dave" Edmunds (born 15 April 1944) is a Welsh singer, guitarist and record producer. Although he is mainly associated with pub rock and new wave, having many hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, his natural leaning has always been towards 1950s style rock and roll.
he leaves and amazing musical legacy including the bands Love Sculpture and Rockpile and a solo career that produced such great singles as I Hear You Knockin', Baby I Love You, Born to Be With You, I Knew the Bride, Girl's Talk, Queen of Hearts, Slipping Away and Almost Saturday Night. Among the artists for which he has produced albums are the Stray Cats, Foghat, the Flamin' Groovies, k.d. lang, the Everly Brothers, Status Quo and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
