Description
"Drømde mik en drøm i nat um silki ok ærlik pæl", meaning something like "Dreamt myself a dream last night, of silk and fine cloth". The text is written in Old East Norse, and appears at the end of Codex Runicus, a transcript of Scanian Law, the oldest Danish provincial law (Scania, or Skåne, now a part of Sweden, was then a province of Denmark).
Taken from the somewhat misleadingly titled 2016 album "Ice and Longboats - Ancient Music of Scandinavia" by Ensemble Mare Balticum, Åke Egevad and Jens Egevad (of Sweden). Performing on these tracks are Ute Goedecke, Per Mattsson and Aino Lund Lavoipierre.
