Run away in the night unspoken, I’ll be there in the Saratoga rain 🌧️ ⚡️ I wrote Saratoga in an air bnb in Wyoming and finished it up at a soundcheck in Iowa. It was one of the first new tunes live that got a standing ovation. I knew we were on to something.

I was afraid a little bit to sway away from the traditional blues sound I was known for. It’s why when I’m writing now I just always trust my gut. I’ve spent too many nights trying to write music for what I think people will like. I know now to just write what I like and it usually ends up being more commercial.
