Since the release of A Wintersunset... until Songs of Moors and Misty Fields, Empyrium recorded roughly 300 minutes of loose ideas, fragments and experiments. Parts of this material re-appeared on Weiland.
Participated on the compilation Whom the Moon a Nightsong Sings (2CD/2LP) in 2010 with the song "The Days Before the Fall".

A Wintersunset..." was recorded and mixed at the R+A Studio/Münnerstadt during the first January week anno 1996.

There also exists a version released on advanced tape with the title "...Like an Ember Red Wintersunset". It was made by the band for press contacts. Came with black and white cover and only the tracklist.
There is since 2006 also a re-release as a lavishly designed, gold-embossed Digibook of "A Wintersunset...", "Songs of moors and misty fields", "Weiland" and "Where at night the wood grouse plays" by Prophecy Producions. All of these are limited to 500 copies.
