40 years after this sweet song was a hit for Engelbert Humperdinck, i am posting his duet with Beverley Knight on 'After The Lovin'. Inexplicably the original was not a hit in the singer's homeland, but was a Top 10 success in America and Canada; whilst going all the way to #1 in New Zealand and Top 15 here in Australia. I simply adored this song; I was a 12 year old boy and its sweetness really spoke to me and my naivete. This duet version with fab British singer Beverley Knight is from his 2014 set 'Engelbert Calling'. The then 77 year old crooner was in great voice and now at 80 i'm sure is still powering along!
