My proposal of recordings of medieval music prior to 1980 proceeds, this one is from 1964/65 and it was published for the first time in 1967. What can I say? I adore the apparent sincerity in the arrangements of these early music pioneers and I consider them extremely credible: much more than the great orchestras of medieval music proposed in more recent times, certainly influenced by a modern musical taste and which, in my opinion, have nothing to do with the "original" music. In years in which it was not at all easy to propose this kind of repertoire, ensembles such as the Jaye Consort, or those proposed in the videos shortly before this one, had the daring genius to revive these works by laying the foundations for the interpretation of ancient music.
