Under their collaborative Flying Mojito Bros alias, Ben Chetwood and Jack Sellen have released a couple of hot-to-trot mix-tape style LPs, an audacious 'best of' compilation and a handful of singles and re-edit EPs. 'Just Passing Through', which marks their bow on Californian stable Ubiquity Records, is undeniably a significant release: a first full-length outing for four years. It's as vibrant and colourful as you'd expect, with the pair leaning into their Tex-Mex flex to the full - think enticing, Mezcal-friendly blends of swamp funk, dub disco, nu-disco, AOR disco, acid, psych-disco, glassy-eyed disco-chug, disco-house and Balearic Americana. A brilliant idea superbly executed.
