Description
This is not the Simon and Garfunkel song "Old Friends-Bookends", but a song by folk singer/songwriter Mary McCaslin.
To my shame, I had not heard of Mary until last week, when I came across a thread in Mudcat.org asking for the lyrics to this song. I was intrigued, so I found it on YouTube and fell in love with it.
Mary performs many of her songs in open tunings, but I have kept to normal tuning for my interpretation of her lovely song using chord progressions that I think seem to fit.
