For tonight's performance we are showcasing the classic Blue Note album "Soul Station" by the legendary tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley. The record has been widely regarded as one of Mobley's finest releases. Bookended by two standards, the remaining four tunes on the album are Mobley originals, including the seminal track "This I Dig of You," which has become a standard in it's own right.

For this outing we have saxophonist Ryan Freitas serving as our "boss tenor," with the rhythm section including Clif Metcalf on organ and host Jeff Shoup on drums.
