Our rendition of the powerful song «Helvegen» by Wardruna. From the fall concert «Til Nord» («To the North») at Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo, November 3rd 2024.

"Helvegen" is a renowned song by the Norwegian band Wardruna, founded by Einar Selvik. Featured on the 2013 album Runaljod – Yggdrasil, it draws from Norse traditions where songs guided souls to the underworld. Similar to modern religious practices, these songs served as spiritual hymns for the journey after death. The songs ends with a quote from Hávamál, reflecting on mortality and legacy.
