When your soft palate is lifted, it creates more space in your vocal tract, which gives your voice that warm, powerful, open sound. Think Adele, Ariana, or classical singers—yep, soft palate is always UP.
💡How to know if it's NOT lifted?
– Your sound feels stuck in your nose
– Your high notes feel tight
– Your vowels sound dull or squeezed
🧠Trick to train it:
Say “ng” (like in “sing”)—you’ll feel the soft palate close. Now say “ah” as if you’re surprised or yawning. That release and lift is what you want when you sing.
Start paying attention to it when you warm up or sing vowels—especially “ah,” “oh,” and “oo.” The more control you build here, the better your tone will get.
