Lonnie Irving (Born: June 11, 1932 Died: December 2, 1960)
In 1932, Humes and Lenia Irving welcomed their son, Lonnie Leon Irving, into the world in Stoneville, North Carolina. He was the second oldest of six boys in the fmaily. A 1960 article indicated he attended Wentworth High School and attended Air Force Training in San Antonio, Texas
He married the former Shirley Moorefield of Leaksville, North Carolina on October 4, 1953 and that 1960 article mentioned they had a son and a daughter.
Before hitting it on the music scene with is Pinball Machine recording for Starday, Lonnie was a truck triver for the Hennis Truck LInes out of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
He stayed with them until October 2, 1959, when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He passed away in 1960.
