Lovely, latin-jazz number that conjures up visions of a relaxing tropical island and showcases Basia Trzetrzelewska's awesome vocals, which was like a breath of fresh air amidst the slate of new wave music that was frequently heard at the time. Half A Minute peaked at #23 on the UK pop charts in 1984; this single version has additional arrangements and instruments that can be heard in the later half, like a burst of guitar strums, some light drums, and a different intro for Basia's final vocalplay chorus towards the ending.
