Description
Something I must upload now. From the Maureen album, The Music Never Ends, this is the most romantic rendition of this song, IMHO. Alan and Marilyn Bergman aren't your typical lyricists; they're the real poets while Michel Legrand is among today's most romantic film composers. I dread a life without these artists of sound and words.
I have a special duet of this song by Ann Hampton Callaway and Liz Callaway (on their live show CD, Sibling Revelry) in which the sisters harmonized without accompanying music. If you want, I'll upload the track as an audio-only video. It's beautiful but very haunting and not quite appropriate for this type of video. I think, however, that you will prefer this Maureen version to that one.
Hope the oak pollen in the clip won't trigger your histamine response. And sorry, there's no 'sleeping rose' in this video. I couldn't find a suitable visual for it. Don't let the images fool you that the blooming bulbs turn into unfolding fern fiddleheads. :-}
Please enjoy, and have a beautiful Sunday and wonderful new week.
