Script:
Howdy Folks! Happy October 18. Just got home from vacay, and it's late, so let's keep this video short. It's Medieval Folk Sunday. Today's album is the Kingdom and Its Fey by the Soil Bleeds Black.
The past two Sundays, we've focused on more well known releases. Today we're listening to a deep cut. The Soil Bleeds Black is a neo-medieval group that was formed in 1992. The Kingdom & Its Fey was their first release, and it definitely doesn't try and hide it. I believe most of the sounds were created electronically - it's unknown how many 'real instruments' were used in the making of this album. The medieval music can sometimes come across as childish or cartoonish, but it creates an atmosphere like none other.
I had to include this album if nothing other than the album art. Right?
Go listen, and enjoy!
