River Tracing is one of our premier challenge and growth programs at New World English.
在新世界的眾多「成長課程」之中，溯溪是孩子們最終極的挑戰。

Our physical and life skills training activities lead up to this.
所有我們的體能活動、生活技能課程，都是在為此準備。

It’s many children’s first experience with natural environments and adventure sport!
這不僅是許多孩子與自然環境近距離接觸的難得經驗，更是第一次體驗何謂「探險」。

Actually, it is known to be very dangerous without professional instruction. But NWE runs a uniquely safe and effective program no other school can match.
若沒有專業教練指導，溯溪其實是非常危險的。但我們獨家的課程不僅首重安全，是其他任何學校都無法比擬的。

There is no reward without risk. But not only are our g uides professionally trained and experienced in river tracing and rescue activities, we don’t use outside companies either. Our guides are our teachers. We embrace all responsibility because we’re the best at what we do. And we work together with one mission. Safety above all else.
在新世界，除了老師都受過急救訓練、擁有豐富的溯溪經驗外，我們願意承擔責任，因為我們很有自信可以做到最好、同時也因為我們有很清楚的共識：安全第一。

So we know all of our students personally and care for them like our own. We know their strengths and weaknesses. How to nurture and encourage them. We prepare them long in advance for the challenge in an individual level.
我們很清楚每一位學生的狀況，他們的強項與弱點、個性與特色、適合的引導方式。

We do it because we know deeply how it changes our students for the stronger and better.
我們深信，如此一來能讓孩子成長與茁壯。

The cold water is shocking to some children but they learn to adapt.
溪流裡冰冷的溪水，對部分孩子而言頗為可怕。但他們都學會適應了。

They’re learning to overcome fears.
They’re learning to adapt and be comfortable in new environments.

他們學習如何克服恐懼。
他們學習如何重新適應新環境。

They’re learning that euphoria comes with overcoming huge obstacles. They build self-esteem and physical confidence. Leadership, communication and teamwork skills grow.
透過溯溪活動，孩子們不只學習如何建構自信與自尊，也學會如何培養領導能力、團隊合作能力，更藉此學會何謂「不入虎穴焉得虎子」。

They’re given real opportunities to show their loving, kind, happy and grateful characters.
更藉此展現新世界想讓孩子學會的「有愛、善良、快樂、感恩」精神。

It’s the most rewarding experience as a teacher in the river, to see our students grow in front of us.
對老師們而言，能在河流中見證孩子的成長，是我們最大的榮耀與感動。

For teachers, the environment is difficult and cold, muscles ache, voices go hoarse. It’s one of the most demanding ways to teach.
之於一個老師-戰戰兢兢、河流冰冷、體力耗盡、聲嘶力竭，這是一個最辛苦的教學方式，
