Nancy issued her version of the Frank Loesser classic in November 1963, coupled with “That’s What I Want For Christmas”. The following year, Nancy released her first big hit, “(You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am”, which reached #11 on the Hot-100.
Primarily known as an album artist, by the end of 1964, she had placed six albums in the Top-30 of the album chart, beginning in May 1962 with “Nancy Wilson / Cannonball Adderley”.
Nancy eventually released a Christmas album, “A Nancy Wilson Christmas” in 2001, which included a longer version of “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve”.
