Many believe that Oasis have started this whole thing with their Morning Glory album. True or not it's quite painful to listen to the album on anything better than laptop speakers. The whole sound is just a loud mess which makes it hard to make out certain instruments. What makes it worse is the clipping and distortion throughout the record. The bad news is that there's nothing you can do about it apart from hoping the band will do a proper remaster some day. The good news is however that for a few tracks the separate (unmastered) audio tracks for vocals, guitar etc. are available. Some Might Say is one of them. That allowed me to do my own mix of the song. The result is a much improved sound. Much clearer and with greater dynamics. Listen to it with good headphones and notice the punch in the drums and the great guitars in the chorus. The good thing is that it now actually sounds better the more you increase the volume. You own the volume knob not the music industry!

In the video you can see the wavelengths of the original release (on What's the Story Morning Glory) and my own mix. They speak for themselves I think. The red parts indicate clipping in the original version.
