"Ode to Joy - Joyful, joyful we adore Thee!" - CBC Hymn Sing Choir joins in song with congregation

Description

The great Ludwig van Beethoven made this song famous when he incorporated a choral performance in his Ninth Symphony. He used the words of the German poet Friedrich Schiller(1759-1805), whereas the words of the hymn version 'Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee' were written by Henry van Dyke & are certainly no worse than Schiller's. This recording is from a concert at the Canadian Bible College in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1989. The soloist this time is Milton Liska.
