Description
The Beatles Let It Be sessions drew to a climax with their Rooftop Concert in 1969 at Abbey Road Studios. For the entire month of January during the sessions there had been debates about how they should finish the sessions. Since no viable idea had been given, they took their equiptment up to the roof and did a free concert, allowing their music to drift into the street below. the police did eventually make it to the roof and made them finish up, but not before this iconic performance had made history. Some of the recordings would actually be used 34 years later when the Let It Be... Naked version of the Let It Be album was released in 2003. This album which had the intent of stripping down the original to sound more like the beatles roots, contained versions of songs that were recorded from rooftop concert and in my opinion is a better version than the Phil Spector original version of the Let It Be Album.
