Built in 2024 by Rauma Marine Constructions in Finland, the Spirit of Tasmania IV is a state-of-the-art ro-ro passenger ferry designed to transform Bass Strait crossings

Gross Tonnage: ~48,000 GT
Passenger Capacity: 1,800
Lane Metres (Vehicle Space): ~4,098 m — enough for approximately 600 cars
Propulsion: Four Wärtsilä 46DF LNG engines, giving it a service speed of around 26 knots
Not only is it significantly larger than its predecessors (Spirit I & II), but it also offers 43% more passenger capacity and 39% more freight space, plus new pet-friendly cabins, lounges, cinemas, bars, and more to elevate the travel experience
