Remastered by @milesfernando
Unfortunately, with the exception of Japan, where we're only missing little over an hour from one show, all other legs of the "Opera" Tour are in desperate need of more recordings to surface. You need proof for this bold claim? About a month after the New York shows, we finally get another recorded show at the Milwaukee Auditorium and, although the quality is quite miserable (even with this great remaster by audio wizard Miles) and the taper tried saving tape by cutting off everything that isn't music, this tape shows how amazing this tour can be! Not only is Freddie back in great shape, the setlist alone is worth sitting through this one!
While Queen have dropped "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" (bringing back the number of new songs to just three again), the replacement is more than worthy: After "Doing All Right", the band stay within their first album and its bonus tracks, giving us the first recorded "Hangman" since Tokyo, 1st May 1975 - but instead of just playing the never released song in full, the song transitions into "Modern Times Rock 'n' Roll" following the "You've only come to watch me die!" line, giving us a very unique, very surprising and very awesome medley. "Keep Yourself Alive" and "Liar" follow, concluding this five-song "Queen I" themed set. With other shows from the tour having confirmed appearances of "Hangman", this medley and "See What a Fool I've Been", one can only wonder what other surprises Queen had up their sleeves on this tour.
