Description
“SeaTime” is a 20 min. long multimedia work for symphony orchestra and simultaneous video screening. It is a story of the wonders of nature, the diversity of the species and the troubling effects of the climate changes that our planet is going through.
"SeaTime" is made by the Norwegian artists Johan-Magnus Elvemo (film) and Bertil Palmar Johansen (music). The project has so far been performed in Trondheim, Norway.
The piece is an emotional and artistic response to very common human concerns today: What will happen to the oceans if the temperature of the water increases? Will the ice in the polar areas disappear in the years to come? How does the ongoing climate change affect the diversity of the species? Will the desert areas of the world expand if the global temperature changes? What are we – as humans, supposed to do?
“SeaTime” is straight on to these issues. There are no spoken words or text parts in the project and it is easily accessible to an audience.
