3 TRUTHS
1️⃣ Intercession Reflects God’s Heart
From the Hebrew pāgaʿ (פָּגַע) — “to meet, to plead, to intercede” (Isaiah 53:12), we see that to pray for others is to stand in the gap, as Christ Himself does for us (Hebrews 7:25).
2️⃣ Praying for Others Brings Unity in the Body
The Greek koinōnia (κοινωνία) — “fellowship, shared life” — shows that lifting each other up in prayer strengthens love, faith, and unity among believers (Acts 2:42).
3️⃣ God Moves Powerfully Through Intercession
From James 5:16 — “The prayer of a righteous person has great power” (Greek: energoumenē – “active, effective”), Scripture reveals that God chooses to work through the earnest prayers of His people for others’ deliverance, healing, and salvation.
