I walk carefully forward, my eyes on the pathway ahead.
But so often the days pass in vain, and I'm broken and weary.
In the moments of pain, I remember the home where I'm led.

Sky of blue, you have filled me with hope and assurance.
Paradise, on your lovely shore I long to stand!
Where the sky is eternity endless, and calls me with gladness,
I have no other wish than to enter that wonderful land!

Precious time is like sand - it is trickling away without warning.
It will never return and replace all our time used in vain.

And to Him I will say, that His promise I wish to attain.
