Blue Light is the ‘shortest wave length, with the highest energy’. This push and pull between reality and escapism. Themes of artificiality, of right and wrong, harmful and harmless, the record tells of my struggles with knowing when something isn’t right, but pursuing it unrelentingly in the face of knowing. Trudging through the trials of life, substance abuse, falling off the rails and knowing where you’re headed and the inherent consequences. It encapsulates what it means to be on the edge of annihilation, swaying to and fro on the swing of self destruction. Without this outlet and the lifeline that this project became, I don’t know what I’d have done through this period.
