Description

Chill Out is the third studio album by The KLF, released in February 1990.

It is one of the earliest ambient house concept albums, portraying a mythical night-time journey throughout the U.S. Gulf Coast states, beginning in Texas and ending in Louisiana.

The album was conceived as a continuous piece of music, reportedly recorded in a 44-minute live take, with original KLF music interwoven with samples from songs by Elvis Presley, Fleetwood Mac, Acker Bilk, Van Halen, 808 State, field recordings of Tuvan throat singers, American, British and Russian radio broadcasts and sound effects taken from Authentic Sound Effects Volume 2.

It incorporates elements and melodies from the "Pure Trance" singles 3 A.M. Eternal and Last Train To Trancentral.
