The Midnight Gospel has been cancelled by Netflix. From Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward and podcaster Duncan Trussell, The Midnight Gospel truly was something special. This Netflix cancellation is different than the others, though, revealing a dark future for Netflix animation.

Netflix animation has been in trouble for the past few months as several projects and creators are going through cancellations behind the scenes. From Jeff Smith's animated Bone series to Kung Fu Space Punch from Jorge Gutierrez, everything is collapsing. Much like these shows, The Midnight Gospel deserved a better fate. We're not getting a Season 2, or any more episodes at all.
