"(You've Got) The Magic Touch" written by The Platters' manager and producer, Buck Ram, was recorded by The Platters on Mercury Records and released as a single in February 1956, reaching #4 the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Billboard R&B charts. The group consisted of lead tenor Tony Williams, David Lynch, Paul Robi, Herb Reed, and Zola Taylor . The song appeared on the 1960 Mercury album, Encore of Golden Hits, and can be found on the CD box set The Magic Touch Platters Anthology on the PolyGram label.
