Description
My own Concert Paraphrase for piano on "Tico Tico No Fuba", a famous brazilian song composed by Zequinha de Abreu and played or sung by several artists, among them Carmen Miranda. I followed the music's original structure, making changes in harmony and form. For the pianists, there are two funny surprises at the end: quotations of Chopin's Etude op.25 n.12 and Liszt's Grand Galop Chromatique. There are some Scarlatti references too, but they are not as direct.
