#Ad While visiting Volya at their dress rehearsal for this Saturday's performance of Душа народу - The Spirit of a Nation, I tried some Ukrainian dance moves. I ached for a few days. lol

Volya Ukrainian Dance Ensemble of Edmonton and the Pavlychenko Folklorique Ensemble (PFE) from Saskatoon are proud to present their new and collaborative show Душа народу - The Spirit of a Nation on Saturday, September 9, 2023 (7pm) at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

The production will be a colourful and immersive experience - from the foundation of Kyiv to how Ukrainian culture took root in Canada - to what we understand Ukrainian traditions to be today.

Over sixty dancers will grace the stage by performing traditional and modern dances showcasing power, passion, and freedom. Join them on an inspiring and authentic journey through Ukrainian-Canadian history and culture. With two dynamic ensembles together on stage, this show should not be missed!

Two booths will set up in the lobby for donations: the Free Store organization which provides assistance to Ukrainian newcomers; and the Ukraine Defense Fund which distributes and sources supplies to the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces.
