Description

Anson Mount, who plays Captain Pike, said he felt goosebumps when he heard the theme for the first time. Ethan Peck (Spock) said that he loved how the theme incorporated both nostalgia and innovation; and Rebecca Romijn (Number One), said that she was moved by how the theme conveyed the sense of wonder and discovery that defines Star Trek.

Penned by composer Jeff Russo, who is also responsible for themes and scores for Star Trek: Discovery and Picard; the theme features elements of Alexander Courage’s theme from the original Star Trek series as homage to the classic theme while also creating something new and fresh for the modern audience.

In addition to the title theme music for Season Two, this Supercut also presents the unique opening from, "Subspace Rhapsody!"
