A subdued and touching recording of Marco Uccellini's Aria Sopra 'La Bergamasca,' first published in 1642 and performed here by Maurice Steger on the recorder. The piece is not originally scored for recorder, but rather, for violin and basso continuo. Nonetheless, as always, Steger delivers a novel interpretation and excellent performance of Uccellini's Aria Sopra 'La Bergamasca.'
