I'd heard this song on the radio many years ago but didn't know the title or artist(s) who did this song. But somehow the melody stayed with me for several years. One day in Japan I was chatting with a friend who was also from Hawaii and I asked him if he knew this song and I hummed it to him. He recognized it and that's how I found out the title!
