Description
A Welsh Folk song by Wil Hopcyn b. 1700 describing a tragic love affair. Sung by the Rehoboth Welsh Choir in Delta Pennsylvania. The scenes are all around the town of Delta except the last one which is a sunset on Llandudno beach in North Wales. There are views of the Slate Quarries which are now flooded. The massive size of a great quarrying tradition is evident in some of the pictures. Many lost their lives when the Funkhauser Quarry flooded, and tragically some drown in the quarries yet today and they are strictly off limits as one of the most dangerous sites in the USA. The Cottages were built for the Quarrymen in the 19th century and still stand, in process of renovation. The red Church is the home of Cor Rehoboth. They can be found at: http://home.comcast.net/~rbaskwil/chapel.html Donations to the restoration and preservation of the cottages and tradition would be welcome
