New (re-written) version of a song that was called 'The Wave', Now reborn as 'Waves'. I wrote this somewhere between 1990 ~ 1992, and.. as with many 'love songs' ~ It's not really about any one girl in particular.. ~ more about the love you want to be in, or wished you were in.. (or imagined you were in..)
It was originally acoustic guitar and vocal. The first studio recording was in 1993 when it became a 'rock ballad'.
~ It asked to be played again..
~ I used the fabled Yamaha QY100 to create the music. and..
I've done it in a reggae kind of feel and that has breathed new life into this songchild..
Barrie 白矛: Tech Spec: Created and Recorded almost exclusively with the incredible #Yamaha #QY100 ~ All played in by hand ~ no presets or patterns ~ I'm using the QY100 as an instrument and sequencer in the same way as I would use the (also legendary) Yamaha #SY85 Synth workstation keyboard.

I actually also used a Yamaha acoustic guitar too.. I thought I'd finished the recording and then realised I hadn't put any guitar in! So.. as it was originally written on guitar as an acoustic.. It seemed only fitting that I should put some guitar into the recording.. I'd run out of track space by then.. (Only 8 tracks in Ableton live lite 11!) But I managed to squeeze a token guitar line into a few available gaps..
